Kanon – Episode 16 Thoughts and Impressions

One thing... Don't eat Ayu's breakfast... nobody is going to eat it since it's so bad, it's horrible.

Since Shiori’s birthday is next week, I decided to blog about the three episodes of Shiori, since she is my #1 favorite character…
After Yuuichi saved Mai and solved her problem, He visits with Ayu in the hospital. When they left their room, they met Shiori there. Next day, Ayu cooks breakfast which turns out bad that it was not editable. Yuuichi left to school until he was stopped by Ayu who was in panic because Akiko wasn’t feeling well. They went back to the house to check on Akiko. Yuuichi finally arrives at school and tells Nayuki what happens. Nayuki calls home to tell instructions for something to eat so Akiko can take her medicine to get well.

Meanwhile, Yuuichi promises Shiori that he will go out with her next day. This consists of Shiori playing whack a mole at an arcade and failed at hitting just one and Yuuichi saying something rude

How did I do?

You didn’t hit any moles at all.. The game is wrack a mole, not miss them…

I don't like people who say things like that!

I’m sorry~ *hands Shiori a cup of vanilla ice cream*

Anyways, this is my favorite part. Shiori takes Yuuichi to her favorite place where they had a snowball fight:

Apparently, she got Yuuichi on the first try... and giggling.

Also, something on Yuuichi’s right cheek:

There is something on your right cheek.

I’m going to use this to clean it off..

Shiori: No! You can’t!

Just kidding.

Also, the big a** snowman:

That's one big snowball.

Also, I don’t recall them ever building a snowman in the Visual Novel…

Lastly, Shiori sketches Yuuichi, but not as great… and Yuuichi said it’s not her thing, which makes her say her usual catchphrase… but Yuuichi gives in… Lastly, Shiori takes Yuuichi to her class room and reveals that she had something more serious than a cold.

Yet so nostalgic...

At night, Kaori calls Yuuichi to meet her at the school since she have something to tell him… Shiori was actually Kaori’s younger sister, but Kaori seems to avoid her because Shiori don’t have much time left…

This scene redefines Sad girls in snow...

More in this post comparing the differences of the Anime adaptation and the Visual Novel. Overall, it was a great episode because it had some really happy moments and alot of eye candy…

Also, the song played in the background is a remix of Last regrets by Shimamiya Eiko.
