Sora no Woto – Episode 3 – Thoughts and Impressions

Things get a bit more dramatic than your average comedy anime… well, as you can tell, Kanata comes down with some illness

With Felicia, Kureha and Noel going out to get supplies, Rio looks after Kanata. The viewers should notice that Kanata was acting a bit weird. Suddenly, Kanata collapse and Rio took off her uniform to cooler clothing and then Kanata asked for Snow. Rio looks everywhere for snow, but realized she should look for medicine. She looked though the medicine cabinet and found a empty bottle and realizing that have no supplies.

This makes me wonder… Why would they be without supplies for so long… It’s just like trying to survive in a desert without water…

Well, She throws the bottle to the ground and it shattered and she ran to her motorcycle to get help. Rio asks for help at a church and the nurse, Yumina comes back to heal Kanata with some medicine.

Some may argue that it’s either it’s roseola or malaria. I suggest reading a few posts in the page to get the full picture. After treating Kanata, she gives Rio some herbal medicine for Kanata to take and she leaves.

After Kanata wakes up since Rio was humming a very familiar song, Rio accidentally made a cut on the skin of her thumb and she had to bandage it up. Rio takes Kanata to the tank, which she uses the computer inside to play the music that Kanata heard in her childhood. The song is Amazing Grace, a christian hymn. The tank then plays the orchestra version of it and we learn how Rio come to master the trumpet from her mother. When the rest of the crew came back, Rio told what happens, but hides the medicine that helped Kanata saying “It’s a secret!”

The episode itself was great and filled with some drama. By all means, getting sick is a bad thing. Also, we find out that Kanata is a pretty good cook and she cooks Miso… What is Miso? Also, we see fortune cookies, and Rio gets a bad fortune out of it…

The series itself after watching three episodes have given me the thought that this show will turn out good and it’s not simply a moeblob show. The show has actual plot based on viewing it and I hope it will stay on the same level as we progress on… If you haven’t watch it yet and afraid to because it looks like a moeblob show, don’t… Just watch it for yourself and make a judgement.
